Apprehended by
the Mexican authorities, Driver is sent to a hardcore prison where he enters
the strange and dangerous world of 'El Pueblito'. Not an easy place for an
outsider, unless it's with the help of someone who knows the ropes - a
10-year-old kid. Written by Production (Courtesy of Internet Movie Database)
To be honest I like the premise to this story of GET THE
GRINGO Directed by Adrian Grunberg, written by Mel Gibson, Stacy Perskie, and
Adrian Grunberg, produced by Bruce Davey, Mel Gibson, and Stacy Perskie and the
audacious adventure it sent our main character on into this corrupt Mexican
prison showing both his two sides “get the money at all cost” as well as his
“save the mother and child”. That said there was just something off be it the
continual character voiceover, or even the performance of Mel Gibson. In just a
single viewing it is hard to say exactly what it was, but I felt GET THE GRINGO
could have been much more entertaining, compelling, and tension filled making
it an overall much better film. So for GET THE GRINGO I give it 3 stars for
it’s entertainment quality, which still gives it a certification as a good
choice for any NETFLIX and CHILL
...GO!!!
