A woman who studies butterflies and moths tests the limits of her relationship with her lesbian lover.
Upon seeing the previews of Duke of Burgundy written and directed by Peter Strickland and produced by Andrew Starke the film peeked my intrest. Thinking the film would become more of a sensual mystery than a lesbian love story full of fetish and submission play featuring an all female cast, I watched on. I was impressed with the locations visual appeal shot in the UK and Hungary and the magnificent chateaus. Furthermore I felt the wardrobe selection of the characters were extraordinary and fit well with the story’s underlining theme. That said, I ended up giving Duke of Burgundy 2 stars for its singular storyline yet it’s entertaining visuals and sensual wardrobe selections. The great thing is this still certifies Duke of Burgundy as a Netflix & Chill …GO!!!
