A suicidal artist goes into the desert, where he finds his
doppelgänger, a homicidal drifter.
I felt this film was in the vein of a David Lynchesque strangeness, it’s metaphorical
dialogue and biblical references. I also think this film was taking shots at
the typical Hollywood lifestyle. I didn’t really connect with the main
character and was more compelled to root for the so-called villain because at
least he seemed genuine and in cases more interesting. In the end I may recommend
this film, but very loosely and to certain folks whom I am familiar with. So
for MOJAVE I give it 3 stars.
