BRIGHT for me was the first film that I felt Netflix pushed
really hard and hyped it like most mainstream films. That said, it got my
attention and I was glad I did. Set in a world that is familiar in some ways
while drastically different in others made it for a fascinated and edge of your
seat kind of feeling. I also thought this world needed a bit more back-story to
help the viewer understand more of the context of the film. I also felt Will
Smith’s performance was the Will Smith performance to be expected. In the end I
think the biggest draw to this film is its unique story and how that story
unfolds. So for BRIGHT I give it 4.5 stars out of 5.
