Having my last few reviews being in the western genre I
would have to say that this particular film BRIMSTONE departed the most from
the typical storyline of the old west and the new frontier. Almost carrying a
bit of a horror element with it BRIMSTONE’S trailer seemed to tell the tale of
a supernatural being or entity. Yet upon watching the film I couldn’t be more wrong.
The storyline was indeed disturbing, but at the same time it made me think of
the harshness of the lives lead by those whom came before. So for BRIMSTONE I give it a 4 out of 5
more for it unique storytelling pattern than its actual content.
