An ex-con reunites with his estranged wayward 17-year old
daughter to protect her from drug dealers who are trying to kill her.
So upon seeing the trailer of BLOOD FATHER I watched with
hope that it would pan out to be a film jackpot. Upon seeing the film I felt is
showed that Mel Gibson still has his acting chops and that sometimes chemistry
can make or break a film. In this case the chemistry in question was that of
Mel Gibson and Erin Moriarty, the actress that played his daughter Lydia in the
film. Furthermore the glimpses shown, as back-story for the film seemed more
interesting than the one story being told. Ultimately, I gave BLOOD FATHER 3
out of 5 stars.
