Motivated by an almost ferocious love
for his intellectually disabled brother, Nick, and an explosive mix of
desperation and thirst for a better life, the abrasive and fledgling criminal,
Connie, involves his sibling in an ill-conceived bank robbery that swears to be
a quick and easy job. Instead, things go utterly wrong, and Nick will wind up
in Rikers Island after one unanticipated complication, forcing the desperate
but determined Connie to embark on a nightmarish, no-holds-barred quest to bail
Nick out. Inevitably, over the course of a long and violent night, Connie will
go to great lengths to save Nick from a cruel fate, doomed, however, to do more
harm than good. Is it all heading somewhere? Written by Nick Riganas

GOOD TIME is a film that in recent times has me excited for
filmmaking again. I first saw the preview to GOOD TIME while preparing to watch
ROVER another film starring Robert Pattinson. ROVER turned out to be a tad bit
of a disappointment, but GOOD TIME delivers. From the moment the screen pops
and the story begins I was intrigued. The story is rather simple, but the
journey you take with these characters is intense. I even think the way the
director’s portrayed the action on film with the psychedelic score added to the
intensity of each moment depicted on film. So for GOOD TIME I give it 4.5 of 5
stars.
