Yet, in him, he had these massive desires for another life. This life wasn't something he saw in his everyday neighborhood or depicted on the screens where he watched his favorite shows. No, they came with the vision he had always held, but becoming more soon grew foggy as he decided it just wasn't possible.
The time and the cost to get started weren't in him, but what if he did have what it took to see his vision through? He always questioned himself that as moments of inspiration would hit like a strike of lighting, yet that would only last awhile, and the old thoughts would creep back in like a slow-moving virus and derail another attempt.
Then one day, something happened. Drew, a single thirty-something, met someone. She came to his work and had interviewed him as she was in a sales position and wanted to know more about the book. From the moment he laid eyes on her, that was it, but he didn't realize it till she left.
They talked for a good while, as the time seemed to stand still for them both. Moments of intense eye contact, how she crossed her legs, or the way Drew leaned in, and she would follow it made an impression. The meeting finally came to a close. The thought of never speaking or hearing from her again alarmed him of what was at stake.
She handed him her business card and showed him how to get hold of her otherwise, and then she was gone. In the void of her presence, Drew became something he had never become before. He was determined to see her again and take her on a date. His vision went on further than that, but Drew had the sense to realize that where that vision was going, he couldn't go until he did a few things.
First, getting a date with her was his ultimate option for now. So not to be a stalker, but he had to find out about her, so he searched some social media apps to get a bit of background. For example, her full name, whether she was single, types of things she liked for fun, and any friends in common.
For a while there, Drew's nights after work consisted of thoughts that he could call her or happen to be where she with the perfectly planned chance meeting. Doing all of this changed Drew as he became focused. These laser-focused nights became the norm, as he'd binge seasons of impact shows where he'd learn etiquette, dressing better, names of wines, and work on his health.
Soon Drew had developed a new plan. It took three weeks, yet he was determined to see it through going to her place of work for a seminar he ran into her. She remembered him, and the lessons he put himself through worked as she then agreed to a date and coming back to his place. Here is where the vision took off beyond Drew’s vision making him a little hesitant to go having gotten her on his bed naked that same night…
