Last night I was fortunate enough to attend the THREAD magazine launch party as they reveled their September issue. The buzz for this event was quite high as everyone was in an excited mood. As I waited outside for the event to commence it was an amazing site as pretty much everyone came out dressed up and I'm telling you any event becomes that much better when the ladies come out dressed to the nines, as they say.
Inside the venue was a photo gallery and studio w/ deep auburn wooden floors and photos on the wall. Upstairs drinks were served as Thee Atlantic, a band from Yuba City kicked things off after a great introduction from Mica Moreno the Co publisher. After Thee Atlantic the Moonshine Collective heated it up with mainstays Eye-Que (Thanks for the shout out Q) and Tybox. The highlight of Moonshine's set was a joint where Eye-Que flowed, Dash on vocals, and Tybox kept the beat with an impeccable beat box, great one fellas.
The show proceeded with some raffle prizes and free giveaways from the Moonshine artists before the unveiling of the September issue cover. Once the speeches were made and the anticipation high the reveled September issue was of Siobhan Barrett and a few of her following of models draped in a few of her pieces. Siobhan or the "House of Siobhan", as I've mentioned to her, has taken her to New York and abroad to study fashion design. She is indeed a true talent, but I will not say any more so you can check out the rest of the story in the September issue of THREAD magazine. Better yet go to thread-magazine.com and check out the preview issue before September's drops in just a matter days, and make sure you subscribe, its free!
Overall, it was a really great turnout and I think people are tuned into THREAD magazine. I did my socializing and met a lot of new faces, as well as those that were familiar. And again I got to comment on the number of beautifully dressed women in attendance you all were stunning, next time gentlemen lets step it up. LETS GET IT!!!
