AIN’T THEM BODIES SAINTS is written and directed by David
Lowery. If felt this film was a likeable slow moving noir like crime thriller.
There were moments of ambiguity throughout the film as to the set of events
that actually set things into motion. I think the ambiguity plays well within
the way the story was told. I felt the characters we believable, as well as the
actors, which played them. The pace like I had mentioned, had a methodical and deliberate
unfolding, although the ending of the film wasn’t a surprise. That simple
aspect made for an interesting lead up, but not much real anticipation. So for
THEM BODIES AIN’T SAINTS I give it 3 stars.
