In 1989, in the east of Texas, Ann Dane overhears a noise during

COLD IN JULY is directed by Jim Mickle, written by Nick
Damici and Jim Mickle, produced by Rene Bastian, Adam Folk, Linda Moran, and,
Marie Savare. This is a film that takes you one way and then you then you
realize you are in the middle of a complex situation. The unfolding of the
story and the development of the main character I found very interesting and
compelling. My initial thoughts of the film after seeing the trailer lead me to
believe certain truths about the characters involved, but as I watched I was
further entertained than I was lead to think I was. So for COLD IN JULY I give
it 3 ½ stars.
