UNDER THE SKIN is based on the novel by Michel Faber,
Directed by Jonathan Glazer, and written by Walter Campbell and Jonathan Glazer.
I had heard a lot of buzz about this being a phenomenal film that everyone
should see at least once. I realized what they were getting at upon seeing it
as it has a very ambiguous storyline that would take at least a second viewing
to draw out the meaning of this film. I felt personally the pace of the film
drew you into the life of the alien like main character seductively taking you
deeper and deeper into what ultimately was the victim’s demise. Whether the
ending warps up the entire thing with a bow I think is not the point, but
rather it leaves room or the viewer to come to their own conclusion. Outside of
that it is a very well made film that showcases some very picturesque
landscapes that would be amazing seen on a movie screen. So as for UNDER THE
SKIN I give it 3 stars.
