Welcome in to another FRIDAY FILM SCREENINGS.

This weeks screening is: MUD

14 year-old Ellis (Tye Sheridan) lives on a makeshift houseboat on the banks of a river in Arkansas with his parents, Mary Lee (Sarah Paulson) and Senior (Ray McKinnon). He sneaks out early one morning to meet his best friend, Neckbone (Jacob Lofland). The thing I find about Matthew McConaughey is that he has become a very versatile actor and has proven he can be just about any character you send his way. In MUD he is at his best in my opinion really making you believe the story he crafts and tells this kid. At the same time you hear all of this cross talk and bad mouthing of him and it’s tough to understand who telling the truth much like this kid in the story. This is one of the well-crafted thrillers that I really enjoyed I give it 4 stars.
