UNTIL...

Hey everyone, as we begin to see good planning coming together with creative ideas to make great products and events its easy to get that feeling Napoleon Hill calls a "burning desire". It is this desire that is said to help dreams come true. And if that's true, then everyone better understand its just a matter of time UNTIL... WE... BE... ON... ONE... TOO...

GOOD TIMES AND MORE

Well here we are again, it was told to me "If you want to have a good time you need a good watch." And whether or not you believe that here is a watch with good time for a good cause CHECK IT OUT!!!

New from iconic French luxury house Louis Vuitton comes a unique Tambour Diver Chronograph for a good cause. This watch is certainly a statement piece, to say the least. Not only will the sale of the timepiece go to benefit charities of muscular dystrophy, but it was also designed in collaboration with a young boy afflicted with Duchenne muscular dystrophy named Paul Pettavino. The striking chronograph is made from black gold (white gold with a PVD treatment) and features dial details, rotative bezel markings and a thick rubber bracelet all in bright orange – Paul’s favorite color. The transparent back enables anyone to see the sophisticated LJP 8181 movement and the watch, a true diver, is fully water resistant. Packaged in a mini Damier Graphite canvas trunk – Louis Vuitton’s contribution to the Only Watch 2011 cause is certainly an enviable one, successfully merging commerce with charity.

FILM REVIEW: RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE

Well I hope everyone had an amazing weekend. For me it was well needed and the weather was again beautiful. A great time to relax and regroup for the coming week and take in a film via Netflix's watch instantly capabilities. The film I screened this time was the third part of a trilogy thus far, entitled RESIDENT EVIL: AFTERLIFE.

This film directed by Paul W. S. Anderson, written by Paul W. S. Anderson, produced by Paul W. S. Anderson, Jermy Bolt, Don Carmody, Bernd Eichinger, Samuel Hadida, and Robert Kulzer, starring Milla Jovovich, Ali Larter, and Wentworth Miller.

In a world ravaged by a virus infection, turning its victims into the Undead, Alice (Jovovich), continues on her journey to find survivors and lead them to safety. Her deadly battle with the Umbrella Corporation reaches new heights, but Alice gets some unexpected help from an old friend. A new lead that promises a safe haven from the Undead takes them to Los Angeles, but when they arrive the city is overrun by thousands of Undead - and Alice and her comrades are about to step into a deadly trap. Written by Screen Gems

A fan of the first two installments of this film family, and a fan of the zombie genre. I would have to say this film started off slow due to all the recapping giving you a sense of where the last film left off. Yet when we got into the new AFTERLIFE story it really took off. Never playing the popular video game which the films have been based on I wonder if I am missing any of the deeper layers to this story? Either way this film kept it fresh and even pushed past the excitement of the previous films. To say it was better than the original is hard to say, but it kept me entertained and happy, so I give it 3 1/2 stars.

FILM REVIEW: TAKERS

I hope that everyone had a great and relatively relaxing weekend. Although it was once again wet and cloudy all weekend doesn't mean it has to b all bad. For myself I was able to get a few things accomplished one of these things was the viewing of the film "TAKERS" via NETFLIX'S watch instantly capabilities.

This film directed by John Luessenhop, written by Peter Allen, Gabriel Casseus, John Luessenhop, and Avery Duff, produced by Jason Geter, Willam Packer, and T.I., stars Chris Brown, Hayden Christensen, and Matt Dillon. TAKERS is the story of a seasoned team of bank robbers, including Gordon Jennings (Idris Elba), John Rahway (Paul Walker), A.J. (Hayden Christensen), and brothers Jake (Michael Ealy) and Jesse (Chris Brown) Attica successfully complete their latest heist and lead a life of luxury while planning their next job. When Ghost (Tip T.I. Harris), a former member of their team, is released from prison he convinces the group to strike an armored car carrying $20 million. As the "takers" carefully plot their strategy and draw nearer to exacting the grand heist, a reckless police officer (Matt Dillon) inches closer to apprehending the criminals.Written by The Massie Twins

Going into this film knowing the cast and very little about the plot of the film, my only wish was that it wasn't going to be another OCEAN'S ELEVEN circa 2001. To me the well dressed band of thieves has been done and redone and I was hoping for something more. What this film ended up being was another heist film that you knew very little about the characters, but they are so enthralled with "taking" that they seemingly can't walk away from a very risky job even if it could be the score of a lifetime. I was hoping for a new story, but what was created here was an entertaining adventure that didn't take me anywhere I haven't been before. So I give TAKERS 3 stars.

TRANSITIONS and GUCCI GUCCI...

In an earlier post OH LINDSAY we featured the work of Richard Phillips and his film LINDSAY LOHAN. This piece inspired us to develop our own project along the same lines, which should be a wrap this summer. As we work we've found another work of Richard Phillips called SASHA GREY. Check it out!

SASHA GREY from V Magazine on Vimeo.

“For my film portrait of Sasha Grey, I wanted to focus on her expressive and psychological transformation into a cinematic actor, separate from the cues that have associated Sasha with her previous career as a performance artist working within the adult film world.” –Richard Phillips

“Sasha Grey,” along with Phillip’s first short film, “Lindsay Lohan,” will be included in “Commercial Break,” presented by the Garage Center for Contemporary Culture, Venice, Italy, June 1 – 5, 2011, concurrent with the 54th international exhibition of the Venice Biennale.

And if you haven't already took a look at KONJO 112 west 2nd St. Chico, Ca is where you'll find the Able Abe DENIM PROJECT:
