FILM REVIEW: BITCH SLAP and MORE

Over the weekend I got the chance to take in a screening of BITCH SLAP via Netflix watch instantly feature. This film was a pleasant surprise as I was in the mood for some fun. I'm a huge fan of Blaxplotation style films like Black Ceasar, Cotton comes to Harlem, or Coffy. These films all involve sex and violence and BITCH SLAP was in the same vein as these.

BITCH SLAP is the story of three curvaceous babes, stripper Trixe, business executive Hel, and the feisty ex-con Camero, arrive at a desert hideaway to steal a stash of diamonds from an underworld kingpin, things quickly spiral out of control. Allegiances are switched, truths are revealed, criminals are unmasked and nothing is quite what it seems as the fate of the world is precariously balanced among this trio of sexy femmes fatales. BITCH SLAP was written by Eric Gruendemann and Rick Jacobson, directed by Rick Jacobson, produced by Eric Gruedemann and Rick Jacobson, from Bombshell Pictures 2009.

I really enjoyed this film. Did it have a mind binding plot or a great twist at the end?... maybe not. What it did have was a lot of campy sex, violence, and action, which in America is a perquisite to a good time right? As much as BITCH SLAP had all of these elements, being sexy as hell, the storyline held up through out and in my opinion never was there any gratuitous violence or sex, it all worked to move the story along. I became more interested in the film as a whole for that reason. Looking back I'd definitely recommend this to a friend looking for a fun, sexy, action film, with a sizzling female cast. So in that case I'd give BITCH SLAP 31/2 stars. CHECK IT OUT!!!
