Having been fascinated with the world of organized crime of
all cultures it was only appropriate that upon seeing the trailer to the
OUTSIDER I’d have to see it. This story of the Yakuza post World War 2 had a
look that I hadn’t seen in any other film. I would also say the performance of
Jared Leto was impressive and pretty much made the movie. As for the story I’d
have to say it didn’t take much more of an original route from other films of
this sort, which was somewhat disappointing. So in the end I give OUTSIDER a 4
out of 5.
