GOOD MORNING

She awoke to the sounds of an alarm. She wasn't too happy as she did not set the alarm, but would have to deal with it as she was crashing at a friend's house. To be specific, it was the parents of one of her friends. The alarm was going off in the next room, and Mary painfully came awake.

She arose from her friend's bed dressed in the clothes from last night. She had only gotten a few hours of sleep coming in off the street in the wee hours. The days had been brutally hot as the city was going through a heatwave and at that hour it was nice out a bit of relief from the heat.

She had had a slow night meeting with two Johns fearing she'd have to go out again that night to make up for the take her pimp Donny Ohio would take when he'd come back around to collect. She was tired, tired of life, tired in general. Sitting at the edge of the bed, she rubbed her eyes, forgetting that she was still made up smearing her mascara as she searched blindly for her shoes with her feet.

She contoured herself back into her tight dress zipping it up snug prepping herself to get back into the hustle mode looking to lure one or more working-class men into giving her spin before heading to their day job.

Desperate times make for extreme measures. She wrote to her friend a note that was still asleep on the living room couch as she could hear her parents, the owners of the house, starting their day.

She stepped outside to the crisp new morning wiggling into her heels and walking a short distance to a busy intersection known for its early morning action and found herself a portion of the block to set up waiting for a car to pull up and get the day going.
