TRANQUILITY

He walked out of his studio onto the patio on the side of his home. He had just finished working on a storyboard drawing and was seeing the pleasantness of the evening's cold crisp air. He closed his eyes as the descending evening sun warmed his body before walking down to the koi pond.

This was becoming his nightly routine. He'd sit next to the pond, a beautiful tranquil spot between his home and the swimming pool. He would spend some time in his thoughts about the day, his life, and future. From day-to-day, it would change just like it did from mood to mood. Yet he would only use the time to be mindful of holding thoughts that empowered him to be and do things better in his life.

As the sun would slowly creep down around the hill, the area the koi pond would draw dark. On this evening he sat at the water edge watching the koi fish swarm at the bits of food he would toss in. His thoughts were filled with her playing slowly on his mind. Deep in a debate of whether to pack up and go and visit or lay low and unwind waiting for her inevitable return.

At the moment he didn't feel the need for seeking solutions it was merely him searching for a solution that fit whom he really thought she was in his life, wondering if it was now time to give her a diamond ring in the pit pocket of his selvage denim jeans.
